How to Remove Playtopus Adware Completely and Safely

I have this annoying pop up that redirects me to a site called Playtopus.com, this happens on any websites including YouTube and it’s really irritating. What is it? What can I do to remove it? Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Playtopus adware is clarified as PUP (Potential Unwanted Program) since it can be installed inside your computer without your knowledge and always displays useless ads in your webs. Like many other adware, your computer can be infected when you carelessly open junk mails or click on the suspicious links in some infected webs. Sometimes, it is very cunning. It may come with some freeware which look safe to be downloaded.
